Fourth of July visit with my Husband

I went to visit my husband today,he's in prison in Illinois. There wasn't as many people there as i had thought there would be. Last year on the fourth the visiting room was so crowded. Our sons had plans with their friends to go to the lake and have fireworks later. Which meant that my husband and I had a relaxed and intimate visit. Yes,it's possible to be intimate even in a prison visiting room!. when we are there no one else in the world exists for us. That is if our sons choose not to come or we have a "date visit" set up. That's where we visit without the kids. Teens are always happy to be able to get away from mom and dad for a while so those visits suits all of us. We talk about our future and make plans for where we will have a second honeymoon at upon his release. Some people wonder how a woman can be faithful for years and years on end,i myself see no mystery in it. I love my husband and have no wish to sully our marriage with infidelity. Even if he would never find out about it..i would know and could not be able to stand my self. Besides we are romantic and sexually active with each other. We have our sexually explicit phone calls,and we have letters that would singe even long time writers of Hustler and Penthouse. There is one subject that we have both wondered about though,that is the overseas relationships between an inmate and some woman who answered the inmates prison pen pal ad. How could any one enter into these things? I have tried to put myself in that place and I just think about how it would be to never be able to live in the same country as my husband,which is how probably 3/4 of these types of relationships are even when the inmate is released!. My husband has had other friends in his prison that are involved with foreign women and they have made references to the sex they will have with women they knew before going in or even other pen pals that are close enough to meet up for some post prison sex. They have no misgivings about being unfaithful either...What else would anyone expect the man to do? If i were the woman from another country i could not delude myself into thinking that he would be celibate after being in prison. This subject has been of interest mainly because my Husband has a cellie that is in a relationship with a woman in Norway. They can only visit maybe once a year,can not even get calls. They of course have their letters,which seems a small thing to have and base a relationship on. This inmate has expressed exasperation about this woman..she does not want to see the way things will be. When he is released he as a felon will not be able to travel or live outside this country. The inmate had a prison pen pal ad. up on a popular prison pen pal web site and she wrote to him,they had been in contact for only 6 months when she began to push for a relationship and since the inmate felt bad for her he gave in and agreed to her need to be in a relationship.Now however she has decided that they should be married,not just boyfriend and girlfriend. This has the guy very upset and he feels that he just wants away from the whole thing. The whole idea of prison inmates and women from other countries being married when in most instances the woman will not be able to immigrate here for lack of money or suitable sponsors. It's so sad.. My Husband feels bad for his cellie,i have no advice to give other than what i have stated before,which is that the inmate should just write her and tell her he has decided that this overseas romance is not going to work. Such is the way these things go. Romance when pushed and negotiated for seldom if ever blossoms and becomes a true love relationship. My husband and I are so blessed in our love and our family.
